Another reason to leave your cell at home

This is scary stuff if you’re any sort of activist. Sure, they say it’s opt-in, but there are always ways around that. As a public person, I don’t mind people finding my address or phone number (unless they’re advertisers), but individuals tracking my exact whereabouts? I don’t think so.

Hillary Clinton, Dick Gephardt and Peabody Coal? An expose from Wampum:

I vaguely remember the news last spring that Gephardt was setting up an “energy” lobbying firm. I had other things on my mind (the Griles and Federici indictments) so didn’t look into it much. Then this morning, Melissa reported that Hillary Clinton has now brought on Gephardt as a ” senior economic advisor”, and reminded us of one of his clients: Peabody Energy, e.g., Peabody Coal.

Wampum: Chad Smith’s October Surprise…

From Wampum: A rumor started gaining steam yesterday over on John and David Cornsilk’s Cherokee board. Apparently, Chad Smith approached the lawyers for the Freedmen with a deal: Ask Congresswoman Watson to hold off on introducing her anti-Cherokee bill, and he would work to get the Freedmen separate “federal recognition” and gaming operations. Well, the Freedmen bit, and Watson put the bill back in her pocket for seven days.

An interesting article on the Wampum blog. It pretty much represents my opinion of the Chad Smith crowd, and what’s happening with the Cherokee Nation elections:

Of course, those seven days aren’t up until tomorrow, two days before the election, when it will be too late to have an impact on the outcome of the Cherokee election.

The Lethal Media Silence on Kent State’s Smoking Guns

The 1970 killings by National Guardsmen of four students during a peaceful anti-war demonstration at Kent State University have now been shown to be cold-blooded, premeditated official murder. But the definitive proof of this monumental historic reality is not, apparently, worthy of significant analysis or comment in today’s mainstream media.

After 37 years of official denial and cover-up, tape-recorded evidence, that has existed for decades and has been in the possession of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), has finally been made public.
It proves what “conspiracy theorists” have argued since 1970—that there was a direct military order leading to the unprovoked assassination of unarmed students. Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) documents show collusion between Ohio Governor James A. Rhodes and the FBI that aimed to terrorize anti-war demonstrators and their protests that were raging throughout the nation.
